2011-April-9th Saturday : Severna Park Community Center hosted the annual KING OF THE HILL scholastic chess competition promoted by Letusteachyouchess.com. Defending champions DAVIDSONVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GATORS TEAM sent players to both sections (King of Hill team and singles scholastic) and won both divisions. Local Tournament News for 4/7/2010 SPRING 2010 SCHOOL TEAM CHALLENGE ~ Gators team wins without the loss of a single game! DAVIDSONVILLE STUDENTS ASTOUNDED EVERYONE by winning all of their games. Each Davidsonville player won all four of their games with perfect winning scores!
No losses and no draws, the Gators swept the competition! 22 checkmates to 0
